CBSE Private Compartment / Supplementary / Improvement Exam 2025: Step-by-Step Guide to Fill the Form

Are you a CBSE student who needs to apply for the compartment, supplementary, or improvement exam in 2025? Don’t worry! This article will guide you step-by-step on how to fill out the CBSE private exam form correctly. We’ll explain each step in simple language so that even an 8th-class student can understand it easily.

This guide is perfect for students who:

  • Failed in one or more subjects (Compartment)
  • Want to improve their marks (Improvement)
  • Are appearing again as private candidates

Let’s begin!

📝 Important Notification from CBSE (For Class 10 Mathematics Students)

CBSE has released a new circular dated 27th May 2025 for students who appeared in Mathematics Basic (241) in Class 10. As per the previous rule, only students with Maths Standard (041) were allowed to take Maths (041) in Class 11.

But now, CBSE has given relaxation again for the academic session 2025-26. So, if you passed Maths Basic, you can still choose Maths (041) in Class 11—only if your school principal believes that you have the ability to handle it.

✅ Good news, right? Just make sure to inform your school before they fill the LOC (List of Candidates).
